Mark 1:7-11. In those days Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee and was baptized by John in Jordan. And just as he was coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens torn apart and the Spirit descending like a dove on him. And a voice came from heaven, “You are my Son, the Beloved;[c] with you I am well pleased.”
When you look at yourself in the mirror what do you think? Do you say, “the Lord is pleased with me”?
Maybe when you look at yourself in the mirror, you think: I am not good enough. No one loves me. The Lord is not pleased with me...
The things you say to yourself reflect how you feel about yourself. When you say positive things to yourself you're going to feel good about who you are. Say things to yourself like “I am loved! I am good enough! The Lord is pleased with me!” Then you are going to feel good about who you are.
The Lord sees you right now and all the things the world is going through. He sees how strong you are. He knows you miss your family and friends. He knows you’ve had to adapt to seeing them in different ways. He sees you when you cry at night because you miss your family and friends. He sees how tired you are and how hard you are trying to stay close to him. He knows not going to mass has affected your faith so much but He is so pleased with you in all you have done.
You are His beloved. He loves you so much and he knows how hard you are trying to please Him. Keep doing your best because He sees you. When you fall, get right back up and try again. The Lord loves you more than you ever know even if you turn away from Him, He will always invite you back because He loves you that much.
I challenge you to talk to God and ask him how He is pleased with you.
